About me

Guiding women on the natural path to health, wellbeing and connection

Nicola Lonsdale (me in my local woodland)

Over the course of twenty years, I pushed my body beyond its limits, dealing with stress, emotional turmoil, and trauma along the way. By my thirties, the foundations for chronic health issues were firmly laid. My first son, Solomon, was born at just 24 weeks, and shortly afterward, I began studying nutrition at The College of Naturopathic Medicine. I managed a year of study before life as a new mother—caring for a child with a disability—took over. Emotional stress continued to build, especially as I endured the heartbreak of losing two pregnancies and gave birth to my second son, Jonah, through a caesarean section without anesthesia.

The severe postnatal illness that followed left me struggling with minimal support as my marriage crumbled. I was forced to juggle caring for my children, keeping my home, working, and simply trying to maintain my sanity.

In 2014, I retrained as a Systemic Family Practitioner before returning to Nutritional Healing. It was clear my body was guiding me down this path, and slowly, I began to heal. Trauma and stress can have profound effects on the body, disrupting the entire physiological system—I know this from firsthand experience. Healing, however, is not an overnight journey; it can take years.

For over two decades, and especially in the past ten years, I have been on my own wellness journey—a journey that has been anything but linear. And while I’m still walking this path, I now use a systemic approach to health and wellness, integrating my skills in circle work with women, yoga training, Family Therapy, Embodiment and Naturopathic Nutrition.

Every experience I’ve had has shaped me and become a valuable tool in helping others on their own paths to healing.
