Daily sloppy poo / no poo / hard poo / strained poo… etc etc… IS NOT NORMAL. It is most likely a sign your body is struggling with 1 or more of the following:

  • Inflammation
  • Parasites
  • Stress symptoms
  • Dysbiosis
  • Dehydration
  • Leaky gut

Unfortunately about 1 in 3 people are constipated (not passing stools every day) and 1 in 2 people have a gut-related health condition, resulting in not-so-normal poo patterns.

So it’s more common than you think.

If I had a £1 for every person who told me that they don’t ever do a ‘normal’ poo, I’d be living in Scotland now in my eco lodge, sipping chai, looking to sea… yeah I’d probably still be doing health stuff because it’s how I roll, but I’m serious when I say, how you poo or what you poo is a good indicator of health.

Maybe you eat well, but are stressed so your digestive system isn’t in the ‘rest/digest’ mode but most likely survival. Or you don’t drink water so it can’t properly make the hormones needed in the gut for proper digestion. Or you take/have taken lots of meds so it has affected your gut microbiome. Maybe you have permeable gut lining (leaky gut) which means you aren’t properly digesting or able to and you need some gut healing.

There are so many reasons and so much to explore BUT it can change and you can feel better.
Starting to heal is an inside out job. It’s not overnight either.
I said to a friend last week who was chatting about her gut issues, that expecting to feel amazing overnight after a fortnight of following protocols is likely but also as the body heals, you can sometimes feel worse before you feel better. Healing is a process.

Imagine eating crap, taking all the sugar, stress, alcohol, pollution and lack of care for 20 years then reversing it?
